We hope to bring lots of pictures and content to a our computers here, Particularly of family and friends. We can also use lots of external links nothing here is intended to go outside of our walls. Right now its all about fun, but someday this This may turn into a very valuable tool providing a window into our system and to the outside world of the Internet.
So
far Openoffice.org appears to be a pretty decent WYSWYG web authoring
tool. Moving images so far has been a PITA because I have only been
able to do it from the console as Super user and then I have to set
chmod, don't know why yet. Like they say its a work in progress.
Things to do will be to set the hosts file in all the units to the IP address. Set up some picture viewing and draw up a links page and such.
Should
I get a domain name? Along with a real fixed IP address. Those who
care, can write me here
. Those who don't can ignore and save a few minutes of their life for
other pursuits.
